Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 12th that it will conduct a visiting digital education program for 60 elderly farmers in the region over two days from the 25th to the 26th.
This education program is a customized training designed to bridge the digital gap caused by the rapid aging of rural areas, supporting elderly farmers to actively cope with the use of digital devices.
The curriculum includes various courses such as using smartphones, internet banking, leisure activities using artificial intelligence, and becoming a smart farmer. The Rural Development Administration and the Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency collaborate to support education at frontline agricultural technology centers.
