‘Jongno-gu Residents Bicycle Insurance Automatic Enrollment’ Coverage Up to 30 Million KRW
Benefits Regardless of Occurrence Area... Must Claim Within 3 Years
Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) will implement the "2025 Jongno-gu Residents Bicycle Insurance" to promote bicycle use and protect residents from the risk of safety accidents.
The coverage period is from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025. The target beneficiaries are all residents registered in the district, including registered foreigners, and enrollment is automatic without any separate procedures.

View original imageThe coverage includes accidents occurring while riding or driving a bicycle, as well as accidents caused by other bicycles while walking. Regardless of the accident location, all Jongno-gu residents can receive benefits.
The main coverage details include death benefits up to 10 million KRW, permanent disability benefits up to 10 million KRW, diagnosis fees ranging from 300,000 to 700,000 KRW, hospitalization consolation money of 200,000 KRW, fines up to 20 million KRW, attorney fees up to 2 million KRW, and traffic accident handling support funds up to 30 million KRW.
