Paju Munsan~Naepo Section 1.16km 2-Lane to 4-Lane Opens on 12th
Yangju Eunhyeon~Bongam Section 3.88km 2-Lane Alignment Improvement Opens on 22nd
Two local roads in the northern Gyeonggi region will open this month, expected to improve residents' quality of life and boost the local economy through smoother logistics transportation. The province explained that these roads were opened on schedule thanks to the budget investment from the Northern Great Development project promoted by Gyeonggi Province in the 8th local government administration.

The local road No. 359 Munsan~Naepo (2) section is a follow-up section to Munsan~Naepo (1), which opened in June 2023. Munsan~Naepo (1) is a 0.82 km road connecting Munsan-ri to Naepo-ri, and with the opening of Munsan~Naepo (2), the entire 1.98 km Munsan~Naepo section has been completed.
The province expects that the opening of the Munsan~Naepo section will reduce logistics travel time and costs for about 4.5 million square meters of industrial facilities, including Paju LCD, Wollong, Seonyu, and Dangdong industrial complexes, as well as shorten weekday commuting times for employees of these industrial complexes. Additionally, residents living in Munsan-eup will have easier access to the Seoul~Munsan Expressway and Jayuro, significantly improving traffic congestion in nearby areas.

The Eunhyeon~Bongam section has narrow and winding roads, posing a high risk of traffic accidents, and is a military operation area with frequent military vehicle traffic. To prevent major accidents, the province installed sidewalks in this section and improved the winding roads into straight roads.
The opening of these two local road routes was achieved on schedule with a budget of 24.7 billion KRW invested after the announcement of the ‘Northern Gyeonggi Great Development Vision’ by Gyeonggi Province in September last year. Following the announcement, this is the fourth road opening this year, after the construction of the Namyangju Onam~Sudong local road in February and the Jeokseong~Duil local road construction in June.
