Gwangju Transportation Corporation recently announced on the 11th that it has been certified as an 'Excellent Workplace for Reading Management in Korea 2024,' organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, marking its sixth consecutive year receiving this certification.
The 'Excellent Workplace for Reading Management Certification System' is a program that discovers and awards organizations that contribute to spreading a culture of reading within the workplace and to the development of individual and organizational capabilities through substantial reading management. The certification is granted annually after professional review.
The corporation was recognized in this certification for its consistent efforts to establish a reading culture within the organization. In particular, it received positive evaluations for contributing to the creation of an internal and external reading environment and enhancing the humanities literacy of local residents through various programs such as ▲ reading books recommended by the CEO ▲ autonomous reading club activities ▲ operation of a historical smart library for citizens ▲ themed book events.
