Namyangju City Renovates Jigeum Water Tank Tennis Court for Residents' Health
Gyeonggi Namyangju City (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 11th that it held an opening ceremony for the Jigeumbaesuji Tennis Court on the 8th to support residents' healthy hobbies.

View original imageThe opening ceremony was attended by about 60 people, including Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, provincial and city council members, heads of social organizations in Dasan-dong, tennis club presidents and members, and proceeded in the order of △commemorative speeches and congratulatory remarks △ribbon cutting △friendly matches.
The city invested a total of 300 million KRW to repair and improve the existing Jigeumbaesuji Tennis Court, completing tasks such as △replacement of artificial turf △repair of the management building △addition of lighting.
Additionally, the city improved the existing two hard courts to artificial turf courts and expanded the number of courts to six.
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, “We hope the newly renovated Jigeumbaesuji Tennis Court will provide citizens with a better exercise environment and help improve physical fitness and leisure activities,” adding, “Namyangju City will continue to develop various infrastructures such as sports facilities, transportation, and medical services.”

The Jigeumbaesuji Tennis Court operates from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and residents who wish to use it can make reservations through the integrated sports facility reservation system.
