Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Directly Managed 'Pyeonghwanuri Camping Site' Selected as Excellent Camping Site by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism
The ’Pyeonghwa Nuri Camping Site,‘ directly managed by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization since April this year, has been selected as an excellent camping site in the family-friendly category in the ’2024 Public Excellent Camping Site Contest‘ organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
Pyeonghwa Nuri Camping Site offers a special camping experience to family visitors through various experiential programs such as summer water play facilities, family participation recreation programs, and busking performances. It also received high praise for its efforts to coexist with the local community by operating the DMZ Farm Market in cooperation with local residents in the Paju area.

A representative of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "Since Pyeonghwa Nuri Camping Site is located in the DMZ area, a place where foreigners want to visit, we developed foreign tourist products to revitalize stay-type tourism in northern Gyeonggi and attracted about 1,000 foreign tourists. We have also assigned staff who can communicate in foreign languages to support them in using the camping site more conveniently."
