40s Male Suspect in Hwagok-dong Officetel Murder... Police "Requesting Arrest Warrant"
The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 40s who killed a woman in her 30s at an officetel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
On the 9th, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul applied for the arrest warrant after investigating Mr. A, who was urgently detained the previous night on suspicion of murder.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I knew the victim," and "I committed the crime in a fit of rage after hearing that she was seeing another man."
The Gangseo Fire Station responded to a resident's report around 6:40 a.m. the previous day, who said, "There is a burning smell in the officetel hallway."
Firefighters who arrived at the scene found Ms. B deceased at an officetel near Hwagok Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 in Gangseo-gu and requested cooperation from the police.
