The anonymous donor in their 80s said, "Although I have not been well-off and lived a hard life, I have saved money by living frugally all my life. I hope this money will be used for elderly citizens aged 80 and above who are struggling during the upcoming winter," expressing warm feelings along with the donation. The donor also requested that their identity remain confidential.
Kim Mu-gyeong, head of Taehwa-dong in Andong City, said, "We deeply appreciate the anonymous donor and hope this donation will become a warm hope for the residents in need in Taehwa-dong."
Meanwhile, the donated funds will be delivered to the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea and will be used for neighbors aged 80 and above in need in Taehwa-dong, according to the donor's wishes.
