Kim San, the governor of Muan County, visited the National Assembly on the 5th and met with Assemblyman Seo Sam-seok to explain the request for additional project funds to resolve local issues.

Kim San, the governor of Muan County, visited the National Assembly on the 5th to secure the 2025 national budget.
This visit to the National Assembly was promptly carried out to request additional inclusion of local pending projects during the government budget review period of 677.4 trillion won, which began on the 4th.
Governor Kim met with Seo Sam-seok, the local district member of the National Assembly, and Shin Jeong-hoon, chairman of the Administrative Safety Committee, to explain major projects of Muan County and actively seek their support for budget allocation. Chairman Lee Ho-sung and Planning Committee Chairman Lim Hyun-soo of the Muan County Council also attended the visit to strengthen efforts in securing national funds.
The main national treasury projects proposed that day included ▲Development of the Southwest Muan Public Forest Leisure Sports Center (total project cost 35 billion won) ▲Detailed excavation survey of Bongdae Mountain Fortress in Muan (total project cost 10 billion won) ▲Sewerage maintenance in Guro-dong rural village (total project cost 4.7 billion won).
For special grant projects urgently requiring implementation, cooperation was also requested to include ▲Repair and reinforcement work on disaster-risk bridges (total project cost 960 million won) ▲Expansion and paving of the entrance road to Namak IC on County Road No. 37 in Samhyang-eup (total project cost 700 million won) ▲Improvement project for leachate at the municipal solid waste landfill facility (total project cost 1.94 billion won).

Governor Kim said, “This year, Muan County’s budget has been further reduced by about 10 billion won due to government grant cuts, causing significant difficulties in county financial management,” and added, “We will strive to ensure that national projects for major pending issues are reflected as much as possible in the government budget for smooth progress.”
