On the 6th, SK Securities forecasted that Oisolution would benefit from the growth of the optical transceiver market.
Na Seungdoo, a researcher at SK Securities, explained, "During the COVID-19 pandemic, non-face-to-face activities increased, causing a surge in data traffic," and added, "the demand for optical transceivers increased to expand data transmission speeds."
He continued, "The emergence of generative artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to drive demand for optical transceivers beyond this," and added, "The global optical transceiver market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of over 17%, from approximately $10.8 billion in 2023 to about $33 billion by 2030."
He analyzed, "Next year, the advancement of 5G communications, development of 6G technology, and commercialization of low-earth orbit satellite communications will stimulate expectations for the telecommunications sector," and "In the wireless communication market, demand for optical transceivers will increase centered on Oisolution's main products in the 100?200 Gbps range." Additionally, "the expansion of AI data centers and diversification of cloud services will also increase demand for high-end products exceeding 800 Gbps," he emphasized.
Researcher Na expressed, "The tunable new product, which successfully developed proprietary technology last July, will generate demand evenly in both wired and wireless markets," and "Sales will begin by the end of this year, and it is expected to become a core product driving external growth next year." He stated, "Considering the opportunities faced by the optical transceiver industry, there is a high possibility of continued performance improvement starting this year," and "As utilization rates and performance recovery are imminent, this is a time requiring sustained attention."
