Labor-Management Development Foundation Announces Policy Recommendations for Labor Law Amendments in Laos
Providing Local Labor Law Policy Consultation
The Korea Labor Foundation announced that from the 6th to the 8th, it will conduct policy advisory activities in Laos with an advisory group composed of labor law experts.
Since 2022, the Korea Labor Foundation has been supporting the revision of Laos labor law under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) implementation plan, continuing through this year. During this schedule, a policy recommendation for the revision of Laos labor law will be presented.
In addition, in line with the law revision, educational activities will be conducted to improve the Laos labor inspection system and strengthen the capabilities of labor inspectors, as well as discussions on the role of labor, management, and government in Laos to resolve labor disputes and improve working conditions.

Kim Daehwan, Secretary General of the Korea Labor Foundation, said, "We hope that this policy recommendation for labor law revision will serve as an opportunity for the labor environment in Laos to advance to the next level," and added, "Even after the policy recommendation, we will continue follow-up activities and strengthen cooperation between Korea and Laos to support a successful labor law revision."
