Governor Kim Taehoom Promotes Chungnam Products at China's Largest Trade Exhibition
Chungcheongnam-do Governor Kim Tae-heum has actively taken the initiative to expand into the Chinese market.
On the 31st of last month, Governor Kim visited the 136th China Import and Export Fair held at the Canton Fair Convention Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, to promote the excellence of Chungcheongnam-do products.
The trade fair is the largest trade exhibition in China and is held twice a year. This session runs until the 4th, with 30,000 companies and approximately 260,000 buyers from 220 countries participating.
The provincial government and the Chungnam Business Agency set up a Chungcheongnam-do Pavilion at the fair, where 20 companies participated to exhibit and sell products such as red ginseng, seasoned seaweed, cosmetics, and daily necessities.
From the first day, companies achieved consecutive export contracts, with a Cheonan-based company specializing in air fresheners signing an export agreement worth one million dollars.
Governor Kim visited the Chungcheongnam-do Pavilion to promote the products and personally purchased red ginseng chips as gifts for Iranian buyers.
Governor Kim stated, "If we frequently visit overseas markets to observe and respond to market reactions, we will gain confidence and achieve results," and promised, "We will continue to provide opportunities for local companies to pioneer overseas markets."
