Police Conduct Special Crackdown on Drunk and Drugged Driving During Year-End and New Year Period
The National Police Agency announced on the 31st that it will conduct a special crackdown on drunk and drugged driving during the year-end and New Year holidays for three months starting from the 1st of next month.
Every Thursday, under the supervision of each metropolitan and provincial police agency, a joint crackdown will be conducted at least twice a week by region, and in addition to the joint crackdowns, continuous and occasional crackdowns will be carried out by region. They plan to increase the effectiveness of the crackdown by continuously changing the locations of the inspections without prior notice.
If there is suspicion of drunk driving during this year-end and New Year period but no alcohol is detected, drugged driving inspections will be conducted simultaneously.
