Despite the busy farming season, over 40 headquarters members, Yangsan Elementary School 4-H members, and their parents participated, providing a valuable opportunity to practice the 4-H ideals of knowledge, virtue, labor, and physical fitness, and to strengthen bonds among members.
During the event, headquarters members and student 4-H members cooperated in the sweet potato harvesting experience. The harvested sweet potatoes were packed into 100 boxes of 5 kg each and are scheduled to be donated to four welfare centers in the area.
The Korea 4-H Yangsan Headquarters operates the 4-H Association project learning field annually to enhance agricultural management capabilities and integrate agricultural technologies suited to local conditions. It also serves as a platform for exchanging farming techniques and information in response to the changing agricultural environment.
