Jinju City Selected as 'Excellent Institution' for Road Maintenance Evaluation in Gyeongnam Province for Two Consecutive Years

Jinju City in Gyeongnam Province received the 'Excellence Award' in the 2024 Gyeongsangnam-do Road Maintenance Evaluation.
Gyeongsangnam-do conducts evaluations every spring and autumn targeting 18 cities and counties to select local governments with excellent road management conditions. The evaluation criteria include a total of 10 items: pavement repair, structure repair, drainage facility maintenance, rockfall and landslide risk area maintenance, road sign maintenance, safety facility maintenance, and cleanliness of road facilities.
Jinju City received the Grand Prize in the 2023 Gyeongnam Province evaluation and the Excellence Award in the central evaluation, and this year, by receiving the Excellence Award again in the Gyeongnam Province evaluation, it was selected as an excellent road maintenance institution for two consecutive years.
In particular, the project selected as an excellent case this year, the ‘Removal of Obstructive Trees from Daegok Danmok Village to Micheon Jeongho Village Direction,’ was evaluated as a highly effective project for preventing traffic accidents by removing obstructive trees along the local road No. 1007 section, securing drivers’ visibility, and eliminating the risk of crossing the center line.
