The Ministry of Education announced that it will leave the decision on medical students' leaves of absence to the autonomy of universities, and Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine has approved the leaves of absence for medical students. This approval is the first since Seoul National University College of Medicine became the first medical school nationwide to approve leaves of absence on the 30th of last month.
According to a representative from Yonsei University Mirae Campus on the 29th, Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine approved the students' leaves of absence on that day. However, administrative procedures are still pending, so the students' academic status has not yet been changed.
