Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘Gwangjin Family Autumn Walkathon’ on November 2nd at the Open Stage in Children’s Grand Park.
Organized by the Gwangjin-gu Sports Council (Chairman Lee Jung-seop), this event was prepared to promote a healthy leisure culture. Participants can enjoy a healthy day by starting their weekend morning with exercise while strolling along the autumn leaf-covered walking trails.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. After warm-up exercises to prevent injuries, participants will walk the planned course together. The route starts from the Open Stage, passes by the Marine Animal Zoo, the Amusement Park, and the Futsal Stadium, completing a full loop. The distance is approximately 2.5 km and takes about 40 minutes to complete.
After finishing the walk, a prize drawing event will take place. Thirty participants will be randomly selected to receive generous gifts such as stylers, televisions, and cordless vacuum cleaners. All participants will receive a small souvenir.
Strict measures will be taken to prevent safety accidents on the day of the event. Crowd flow plans will be implemented to reduce congestion, and safety personnel will be assigned to manage the situation in real time. All participants will be covered by liability insurance, and medical staff and fire brigades will be deployed to prepare for emergencies.
