The visit was attended by Pocheon Mayor Baek Young-hyun, Jo Young-je, Head of Corporate Support Division, Yoo Jae-hyun, Head of Soheul-eup, the Head of Job Support Team, Jin In-suk, Village Chief of Chogapal 2-ri, and Yoon Jeong-ok, Village Chief of Igapal 2-ri. The visit included company introductions, listening to difficulties, and on-site inspections.
Seungjin Fertilizer is a landscaping compost production company established in 1982, which relocated its factory to Soheul-eup in 1996. It was designated as an excellent compost producer in 1998 and received a commendation from the Minister of Industry and Resources in 2001.
Deokwoo Chemical mainly produces plastic colorants and was established in 2005. It has received awards from the Korean Red Cross in 2017 and 2021, as well as a commendation from the Pocheon Fire Station Chief in 2020.
Deokwoo Chemical CEO Park Kyung-cheon expressed concerns about recent business expansion leading to manpower shortages, and Mayor Baek Young-hyun provided information on Pocheon City's manpower support projects.
