Daewonjeongsa Donates 5 Million Won to Yangju City
Ven. Hyeryeon, the head monk of Daewonjeongsa Temple of the Korean Buddhist Gwaneum Order, visited Yangju City Hall and donated 5 million won to Mayor Kang Suhyun (left) to be used for neighbors in need within the district.
Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 25th that on the 24th, Daewonjeongsa Temple of the Korean Buddhist Gwaneum Sect, located in Jangheung-myeon (Head Monk Hye-ryeon), visited the city hall and donated 5 million won to be used for neighbors in need within the city.
The donation ceremony was attended by Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City, Head Monk Hye-ryeon, and related officials, and the donation will be delivered to vulnerable groups in the area.
Head Monk Hye-ryeon said, "As the weather suddenly gets colder and the end of the year approaches, I made this donation to look after neighbors in need around us," adding, "I want to continue to pay attention to and practice sharing with marginalized groups in the community."
