Paju-si Holds 'Adolescent Childcare Performance' on Child Abuse Prevention Day
Held at Paju Civic Hall Small Theater on November 8
Gyeonggi Paju City announced on the 25th that it will hold a talk concert titled "Parenting Guidance for Adolescents" on November 8 at 10 a.m. at the Small Theater of the Paju Citizens' Hall in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Day (November 19).
Hosted by Paju City and organized by the Paju Child Protection Agency, this event was planned to address parents' concerns about raising adolescent children and to prevent child abuse.
According to recent major statistics on child abuse from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, abuse incidents occur most frequently among children during adolescence. Accordingly, Paju City is preparing various programs to prevent child abuse and alleviate parents' parenting burdens.
At this event, Director Lee Imsook, author of "Mom's Language Study" and "There Is No More Important Period Than Ages 4 to 7," will deliver a professional lecture on parenting adolescent children.
A Q&A session will be provided to help parents resolve various difficulties they face in raising their children, allowing participating parents to share their experiences and learn positive parenting methods through expert advice. A singer team’s performance is also prepared to help relieve parenting stress and provide emotional support for parents.
Jo Sungjin, Director of the Paju Child Protection Agency, said, "As the performance is held in Paju City to commemorate Child Abuse Prevention Day, I hope it will be an opportunity for Paju citizens to practice positive parenting," adding, "I expect the culture of positive parenting that respects and understands all children to spread, helping Paju grow into a city where children are happy."
A Paju City official stated, "Paju City is continuously striving to prevent child abuse, and we are pleased to promote such a meaningful event as part of these efforts," and added, "We will work in various ways to create a Paju City where both children and parents are happy."
