Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Unit 4 Begins 28th Planned Preventive Maintenance
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head: Lee Kwang-hoon) halted the operation of Kori Unit 4 (Pressurized Water Reactor, 950 MW class) at 10 a.m. on the 24th to begin the 28th planned preventive maintenance for major equipment servicing and fuel replacement.

During this planned preventive maintenance period, the Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to conduct statutory inspections under the Nuclear Safety Act and the Electric Utility Act, fuel removal and reloading, complete disassembly inspection of the high-pressure turbine, and inspection of the Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) and auxiliary systems. They aim to ensure the reliability and safety of the nuclear power plant and resume operation of Kori Unit 4 by mid-December.
