Opening of Mapo-gu Mangwon Yusuji Park Golf Course
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) has established a park golf course in the sports park area within Mangwon Retarding Basin and held an opening ceremony on the morning of October 23.
At the opening ceremony, Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu, members of the National Assembly, district council members, and about 100 local residents gathered to celebrate the birth of the park golf course.
The Mangwon Retarding Basin Park Golf Course will operate on a trial basis until the end of this year and is scheduled to officially open in 2025.
Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu said, “We created the park golf course so that everyone can enjoy park golf, which has a low risk of injury and good exercise effects,” adding, “Mapo-gu will further promote community sports for the healthy lives of residents.”

Meanwhile, Mapo-gu has also added two artificial turf small soccer fields along with the park golf course, allowing people of all ages and genders to enjoy the fun of soccer.
