Yeoncheon-gun Celebrates 100,000 Digital Tourism Resident Cards with Commemorative Fam Tour Implementation
Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 23rd that it will hold a fam tour for three days starting from the 25th to celebrate reaching 100,000 digital tourism resident certificates.
The fam tour was open for registration on a first-come, first-served basis after two weeks of announcement and promotion. The county plans to recruit up to 30 participants per day to provide visits to tourist sites and festival venues, as well as experiential activities.
The "Digital Tourism Resident Certificate" is an honorary resident card that offers various discount benefits on accommodation, food and beverages, admission, experiences, and shopping during local travel. Yeoncheon-gun was selected in October 2023 for the digital tourism resident certificate project aimed at revitalizing tourism in population-declining areas. Currently, a total of 16 businesses in the area are participating in the digital tourism resident certificate project.
