Deloitte Anjin Accounting Corporation announced on the 23rd that it will hold the 'Malaysia and Vietnam Investment Jin Webinar' on the 31st. This webinar is co-hosted with the Malaysia Industrial Development Authority and the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea, and local experts will participate to comprehensively discuss economic and investment trends, investment opportunities, and issues to consider.
As the impact of the US-China trade conflict on the global supply chain grows, the governments of Malaysia and Vietnam are seeking a rapid transition to high value-added industries, including semiconductors. In particular, both countries are accelerating efforts to attract foreign companies by utilizing government-level incentives and tax benefits to become semiconductor hubs in the Asian region. In response to these changes, it was emphasized that Korean companies need thorough analysis and preparation for the new investment environment.
This webinar provides an important opportunity to explore investment opportunities in the Asian market and understand the policies and strategies of each country. The webinar will cover Malaysia’s new national semiconductor strategy and investment opportunities in the semiconductor industrial complex in the Penang region. Additionally, Vietnam will introduce new investment incentive systems and explain semiconductor industry trends and the ecosystem through the NIC (National Innovation Center).
The webinar will feature various sessions, including a presentation by Lu Hizham bin Idris, Director of the Malaysia Industrial Development Authority, on Malaysia’s investment trends and government incentives. Following this, Son Hyunseung, Director of Deloitte Malaysia, will share insights on the semiconductor industry supply chain and cases of Korean companies entering the market.
