Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the '2024 Lifelong Learning Communication Week Event' for four days starting from the 28th at the district office auditorium and the Gwangjin-gu Lifelong Learning Center.
Under the theme "Lifelong Learning, Telling the Story of Life," this communication week event is an opportunity to share lifelong learning activities and learning achievements. It aims to widely promote the importance of lifelong learning to neighbors and residents and to revitalize the lifelong learning city.
The main event, the Lifelong Learning Achievement Sharing Presentation, will be held on the 30th at the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium. About 150 lifelong learners will participate in the presentation, which includes a pre-performance, awards for lifelong learning contributors, and learner performance presentations. Awards will be given to nine individuals who contributed to the development of lifelong learning, followed by performances by seven teams featuring poetry recitations, folk songs, choir, harmonica, and acoustic guitar.
On the 30th, when the presentation takes place, experience booths will also be set up. Five institutions, including the Learning Dock, will prepare various lifelong learning experiences such as handkerchief making, keyring making, skin care lessons, and tarot card reading.
The exhibition of works will be held from the 28th to the 31st at the Gwangjin-gu Lifelong Learning Center. Over 250 works created by students from 12 lifelong learning institutions, including calligraphy, handmade soap, woodworking, and pottery, will be displayed.
The one-day special lectures on lifelong education also attract attention. The special lectures held at the Lifelong Education Center cover a wide range of topics from hobbies to fields where one can grow into an expert, including traditional liquor brewing, pet care, yoga, housing subscription, financial fraud prevention, and aromatherapy.
