The Commissioner of the National Police Agency Says, "Various Discussions on AI Technology Are Needed"
The National Police Agency announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "10th International CSI Conference," the largest forensic science academic conference in Korea, at Songdo Convensia in Incheon until the 25th.
This event gathers domestic forensic science-related institutions and universities. From abroad, law enforcement agencies such as Interpol, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID), as well as forensic science experts from major universities in the U.S., the U.K., and the Netherlands, will participate.
The conference will examine the expectations and threats that forensic science, traditionally centered on Human Intelligence, will face when combined with Artificial Intelligence, and discuss countermeasures. The academic conference will be live-streamed to enable participation from forensic science experts worldwide, including Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Africa.

We must explore ways to utilize AI technology as a tool for forensic science while also preparing for the potential risks it may bring."
