LG Electronics to Participate in KES 2024... Showcasing 'AI Home' Solutions
From the 22nd, a four-day event at COEX
LG Electronics will participate in the 55th Korea Electronics Show (KES 2024), held for four days starting from the 22nd at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
LG Electronics has designed an approximately 900㎡ exhibition hall with a theater concept to showcase AI home solutions based on generative artificial intelligence (AI).
At the front of the exhibition hall, 20 units of 55-inch transparent OLED displays are installed to create media art that overlays actual products such as refrigerators and washing machines with AI chipset graphics, expressing the 'AI Core Tech' that forms the foundation of AI home. AI Core Tech combines LG Electronics' differentiated core component technologies such as motors and compressors with AI technology that analyzes product usage environments, providing optimized modes that enhance both product performance and energy efficiency.
At this exhibition, LG Electronics will present an AI home lifestyle that makes daily life more convenient in the form of a live play, based on the AI home hub 'LG ThinQ On,' scheduled for release within the year.
The husband and wife appearing on stage interact with the hub 'ThinQ On,' the industry's first hub equipped with generative AI, receiving recommendations for food and wine suitable for anniversaries registered on their calendar. They check the cooking process inside the oven by voice and change the lighting mode to adjust the home atmosphere for the anniversary. Before returning home, they set the operation routines for the air conditioner and robot vacuum cleaner through the LG ThinQ app to create a comfortable home environment in advance.
Visitors can experience AI home solutions by accessing the ThinQ app via QR code and operating air conditioners and air purifiers installed on-site with their mobile phones.
A space to experience home appliance technology is also prepared. Representative examples include the direct water supply refrigerator 'STEM,' the 'AI DD (Direct Drive) motor' applied to LG Electronics washing machines and dryers, air conditioners, Aero Furniture, and Aero Tower.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy a giant cinema experience using four 'LG CineBeam Cube' projectors in a dark movie theater concept space.
