Yangju City Holds Award Ceremony for Fine Dust Reduction and Carbon Neutrality Practice Contest
Yang Su-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, is delivering a greeting at the award ceremony of the 'Fine Dust Reduction and Carbon Neutrality Practice Contest' held at Smart Green Port on the 19th.
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 21st that it held an awards ceremony for the 'Fine Dust Reduction and Carbon Neutrality Practice Contest' at the Smart Green Port on the 19th.
This contest was organized to build public consensus on the climate and environmental crisis and to discover region-specific carbon neutrality policies. About 70 people, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun and the award winners, attended the ceremony.
The contest, divided into two categories: drawings and ideas, received a total of 334 submissions (313 drawings and 21 ideas). After preliminary and expert evaluations, 15 outstanding works (9 drawings and 6 ideas) were selected.
At the ceremony, certificates and trophies were awarded to the 15 winners, including the grand prize recipients.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, "I thank everyone who showed interest in Yangju City's climate environment and carbon neutrality policies and participated in this contest. We will make greater efforts to recognize the seriousness of environmental issues and promote policies that everyone can agree on."

The winning drawings from this contest will be exhibited at the Smart Green Port for one month, and the winning ideas will be utilized in future carbon neutrality policies of Yangju City.
