"Walk the Beautiful Gachang Dam 3.4km Trail"... Daegu Dalseong-gun Hosts Walking Event
Dalseong-gun (Governor Choi Jae-hoon) will hold the ‘Dalseong Dullegil Walking Event’ with a forest trail hiking guide on the Gachang Dam Dullegil on the 23rd.
The event location, ‘Gachang Dam Dullegil,’ was newly established in June this year with a project budget of 1 billion KRW as a pledge project of the 8th local government administration. The walking event will proceed on a one-way course starting from Yonggye Sports Park and ending at O1-ri Village Hall. Participants can enjoy a 3.4 km hike while admiring the open and beautiful waterside scenery of Gachang Dam and fully appreciate nature.
In this event, participants will start with warm-up exercises guided by the forest trail hiking guide, learn the correct hiking methods, and enjoy eco-friendly healing experiences through tree observation and wood culture experience programs.
Additionally, to protect the beautiful forest resources of Gachang and raise awareness about the large-scale forest fire in Gachang in 2022, there will be wildfire prevention promotions along with guidance on the importance of wildfire prevention, how to respond if a wildfire is discovered, and reporting methods.
Choi Jae-hoon, Governor of Dalseong-gun, said, “Now that the Dullegil encircling Gachang Dam has been completed, I hope many citizens will participate in this event to directly experience the autumn scenery of Gachang.” He added, “We will continue to discover walking-friendly Dullegils and do our best to make Dalseong-gun a healthy city.”
