Oh Hu-seok, Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province Administration 2 (left), is presenting a 30,000 KRW cafeteria coffee coupon to the first person to achieve 100 times of the 'Tray Without Leftovers' campaign.
The first person to achieve 100 completions of the ‘Zero Food Waste Challenge’ in the employee cafeteria at the Gyeonggi-do Northern Government Complex has emerged.
The Gyeonggi-do Northern Government Complex announced on the 17th that since February, they have been providing incentives by giving an Americano coffee coupon from the on-site store for every 10 completions of the ‘No Food Waste Tray’ challenge, and for those who reach 100 completions, a coffee coupon worth 30,000 KRW from the on-site store is provided.
Thanks to the active cooperation and efforts of the Northern Government Complex staff, from February to September over the 8-month campaign period, food waste was reduced by 53%, and food ingredient costs were saved by 5,665,000 KRW. Additionally, food waste disposal costs have also been reduced by 44,000 KRW per month.
