Uijeongbu-si Listens to Citizens' Opinions on Future Railway Network Plan
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) will hold a briefing session to explain the future railway network plan and incorporate the opinions of experts and citizens.
According to Uijeongbu City on the 17th, the city will hold a briefing session titled "Uijeongbu Future Railway Network Plan" at 10:30 a.m. on the 22nd at the Uijeongbu Culture Station Eum Modum Hall (4th floor of Uijeongbu Station).
Through the briefing session, the city will explain the optimal alternative for extending Line 8 (Byeollae Line) to Uijeongbu and the plan to establish the Uijeongbu Light Rail Transit Circular Line based on the main analysis results of the "Pre-feasibility Study on the Efficiency Improvement Plan for Uijeongbu City's Railway Network," which has been promoted since March last year. There will also be designated discussions by experts and a Q&A session with citizens regarding these topics.
This briefing session is an opportunity to share the railway network plan with citizens and gather their opinions ahead of the submission of new railway projects by the city to be reflected in the mid- to long-term railway plans currently being established by the central government. Any citizens interested in Uijeongbu City's railway policies are free to attend and express their opinions.
