Citizens 'Startled' by 2m Python Appearing in Front of Gyeonggi Northern Government Complex
A 2-meter-long kukkyeong-i appeared on the road in front of the northern government office building in Gyeonggi Province on the 16th.
A roughly 2-meter-long kukreong-i (rat snake) appeared on the road in front of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Northern Office.
According to the fire authorities on the 16th, at around 11:55 a.m., a 119 emergency call was received reporting "a 2-meter-long snake appeared" on the road in front of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Northern Office in Singok-dong, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The fire authorities who responded confirmed it was a kukreong-i and captured it, then released it into a nearby mountain.
A citizen who witnessed the snake said, "I was walking to have lunch and almost stepped on the snake," adding, "This is the first time I've seen such a large kukreong-i."
