Yangju City to Operate '2024 Local Tax Second Half Special Collection' Until November 30
Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 16th that it will carry out delinquent tax collection activities until November 30.
The city explained that it has designated the period from this month to November as the "2024 Local Tax Second Half Special Collection" period to collect 11.9 billion KRW, which is 47% of the 25.3 billion KRW carried-over delinquent tax this year.
To this end, the city plans to encourage collection and payment by conducting customized delinquent tax management, including bulk sending of delinquent tax notices and guidance letters, installment payments for small-amount and livelihood-related delinquents, and welfare linkage guidance.
In addition, strong delinquent tax measures such as home investigations, violation case investigations, fraudulent act investigations, travel bans, public disclosure of names, registration of public information, and restrictions on licensed businesses will be implemented for high-amount and habitual delinquents.
