Busan Urban Corporation Completes Ancillary Work for Osiria Station Automated Ticketing Facilities
Direct Connection Between Osiria Station and Pedestrian Overpass, Improving User Convenience
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, President Kim Yong-hak) announced on the 16th that it has completed the auxiliary construction of the automated station facilities within Osiria Station on the Donghae Line and conducted the final inspection.
This project involved supplementing auxiliary facilities such as rain shelters to ensure smooth management and operation of the automated station facilities (automatic ticket gates, automatic ticket vending machines, etc.) installed at the new gates connecting Osiria Station platforms and the pedestrian overpass toward the theme park.
BMC, in collaboration with the Korea Rail Network Authority and Korail, has completed the necessary improvements for facility management and operation through joint inspections. The station is expected to open after final confirmation, test runs, and approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (Korea Transportation Safety Authority).
Upon completion of this section, tourists will be able to directly access the pedestrian overpass from Osiria Station platforms, significantly improving accessibility and walking convenience to anchor facilities within the tourist complex, such as the theme park and the National Busan Science Museum.
