Traffic Deaths from Signal Violations and Center Line Invasions in Chungnam More Than Double
Number Increased to 30, 2.3 Times More Than Last Year (13)
This year, the number of traffic fatalities caused by signal violations and similar offenses in Chungnam has more than doubled compared to the previous year.
According to the Chungnam Provincial Police Agency on the 16th, as of the 13th of this month, there have been 30 traffic fatalities caused by signal violations and centerline invasions, a 2.3-fold increase from last year (13 cases).
Recently, a truck driver who was driving in the opposite direction after crossing the centerline collided with an oncoming vehicle and died, and a motorcycle driver who violated a traffic signal collided with a car and was killed.
An official from the Chungnam Provincial Police Agency said, "As the number of traffic fatalities is increasing, special attention is needed," and added, "We will utilize all available resources to intensify crackdowns."
