“Immersed in Dance and Music”… Yeongju City Hosts Gyeongbuk Province Youth Festival
On the 19th at Yeongju Seonbi World: Club Contest, K-POP Performance, Musical Gala Show, and More
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province will host the "2024 Gyeongsangbuk-do Youth Festival," featuring youth and clubs from various cities and counties within the province, at Seonbi Sesang on the 19th.
Under the theme "K-culture, Dreaming World," this festival is designed as an opportunity for young people to showcase their talents and creativity honed through club activities, sharing excitement amidst the autumn atmosphere.
The event will be divided into three parts. The first part, the club competition, will take place from 1 PM to 4 PM, with performance categories held simultaneously in the Convention Hall and non-performance categories in Seonbi Madang.
The second part, the opening ceremony, will begin at 4 PM with the entrance of youth delegations from each city and county, followed by a vision proclamation, congratulatory ceremonies by guests, and an awards ceremony. The final third part will feature celebratory stages including Chinese face-changing, a musical gala show, and K-POP performances.
Side events such as juggling and magic experiences, diverse programs including photo booths, tarot readings, and traditional games, as well as promotional booths from local universities, will be continuously available throughout Seonbi Sesang, expected to receive enthusiastic responses from visitors.
Notably, 21 teams representing various cities and counties in the province will compete in the club competition, showcasing their skills in diverse fields such as band, dance, hip-hop, cooking, crafts, and art.
After the competition, a panel of university professors will judge the performances, selecting one team each from the performance and non-performance categories to receive awards including the Minister’s Award, Governor’s Award, and Mayor’s Award.
Mayor Park Nam-seo expressed, "I hope this youth festival will be an opportunity for Gyeongbuk youth to fully express their passion and style amidst the serene autumn atmosphere of Seonbi Sesang."
