The Public Investigation Division 3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Tae-hoon) announced on the 15th that Jung was indicted in custody on charges of creating the so-called ‘medical community blacklist,’ a list of doctors and medical students who did not participate in collective actions within the medical community.

Jung is accused of repeatedly posting the list of doctors and medical students who did not join the collective actions, the so-called ‘medical community blacklist,’ on MedisStaff and Telegram around July (violating the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, etc.). Investigations also revealed that Jung mocked the returning residents by posting the list under the title ‘Thankful Doctors.’

A prosecutor stated, “This case involves the collective distribution of personal information?including affiliated hospitals, medical departments, universities, and names?of approximately 1,100 victims such as residents, fellows, and medical students who did not participate in multiple collective actions within the medical community, posted online a total of 26 times, subjecting them to collective ridicule and contempt. It exhibits typical characteristics of online stalking.”

The prosecution plans to thoroughly maintain the indictment to ensure a sentence commensurate with the severity of the crime, while strictly responding not only to similar and copycat crimes but also to various related illegal acts. Through his legal representative, Jung expressed, “I apologize to everyone who has been harmed by the writings I created.”
