Smart Pass Also Ensures Personal Data Protection... Incheon Airport Conducts Preparedness Drill
Incheon International Airport Corporation conducted a training exercise to respond to information leaks and breach incidents in major personal information processing systems within the airport, including the Smart Pass system.
On the 15th, Incheon International Airport Corporation announced that it had conducted this response training the previous day targeting five major systems: the corporation's website, tenant service portal, Smart Pass, integrated passenger management system, and access control equipment.
A virtual scenario was assigned to each critical system, and the response manual for breach incidents was executed as if it were a real situation to familiarize participants with the response methods.
The training involved 16 participants, including staff from the Incheon International Airport Corporation Cybersecurity Center, system managers for each system, and security specialist company SK Shieldus. The exercise proceeded in the order of ▲forming an incident response team and support team ▲minimizing damage and taking emergency measures ▲notification and reporting of leaks ▲damage relief and prevention of recurrence.
