Hwaseong-si Hosts 'Children's Rights Promotion Drawing Contest'

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is hosting the 'Children's Rights Promotion Drawing Contest' to raise awareness about children's rights.
Participants who wish to enter can submit drawings freely created on the theme of 'A Happy Village for Children.' Based on the four major rights of children?right to survival, right to protection, right to development, and right to participation?participants can express a happy village for children through their imagination and creativity.
Anyone in the nation can participate, and submissions can be made in person or by mail over two days, from the 11th to the 12th of next month.
The city plans to use the selected works for exhibitions and promotional materials. The grand prize winner will receive 1.5 million KRW, two excellence award winners will each receive 1 million KRW, two merit award winners will each receive 500,000 KRW, four encouragement award winners will each receive 200,000 KRW, and fourteen effort award winners will each receive 50,000 KRW.
The winning works will be announced at the end of November on the Hwaseong City website and the Hwaseong Ai Sarang Kiwoom Portal.

Lee Yeon-ok, head of the Child-Friendly Division of Hwaseong City, said, "We hope this contest will raise awareness of children's rights and contribute to creating a child-friendly society."
