Germany LNI 4.0 and 'International Cooperation to Promote Digital Transformation in the Industrial Sector' Memorandum of Understanding
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 15th that it has decided to establish an "International Cooperation System to Promote Digital Transformation in the Industrial Sector" with LNI 4.0 (Labs Network Industrie 4.0), a leading digital transformation institution in Germany.
On the 14th, Lee Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and Thomas Han, CEO of LNI 4.0, signed a memorandum of understanding on this matter at The-K Hotel in Seoul and agreed to cooperate in creating an industrial data ecosystem.
LNI 4.0 is an agency under the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy that promotes the Industry 4.0 policy, providing test beds across various industrial sectors to support companies in safely testing new digital technologies.
According to this agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly promote projects for industrial complex-type industrial data sharing and support for data standard development, including international data standard development cooperation and support for industrial data space development.
The main areas of cooperation include ▲promoting technology transfer and technical support projects for the development of Industry 4.0-related technologies ▲sharing relevant knowledge between institutions ▲supporting marketing and educational activities for companies located in industrial complexes ▲holding technical workshops in cooperation fields.
