Cheonan City Expands Virtual Account Payment for Non-Tax Revenue to Five Banks
From Only NongHyup Bank to Including KB Kookmin, IBK, Shinhan, and Hana Bank
Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 14th that it will expand its virtual account payment service for non-tax revenue from the existing Nonghyup Bank to include a total of five banks: KB Kookmin Bank, IBK Bank, Shinhan Bank, and Hana Bank.
The virtual account payment service for non-tax revenue provides bank account numbers to make it easier to pay non-tax revenues such as public institution fees, fines, and usage fees. This allows users to conveniently make payments via internet banking or mobile apps without visiting a bank branch or ATM.
The city expects that expanding the virtual account payment service will help reduce the burden of transfer fees incurred when transferring funds to other financial institutions.
A Cheonan City official said, "By expanding this service, we will provide a more convenient payment environment for taxpayers and diversify payment channels to enhance satisfaction," adding, "We will continue to implement various policies to improve payment convenience for citizens in the future."
