Dongducheon-si Conducts Joint Campaign for Children's Traffic Safety Promotion

Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon City is distributing umbrellas to students in front of Sadong Elementary School on the 10th, promoting children's traffic safety.

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 12th that on the 10th, they conducted a children's traffic safety promotion campaign in front of Sadong Elementary School together with Dongducheon City Safety Guards and Safety Heroes.

The promotion activity was organized to secure a safe commuting route for children. In particular, Safety Heroes from Sadong Elementary School, who participated for the first time this year, aimed to provide children with an opportunity to actively engage in safety culture activities themselves.

The Safety Guards and Safety Heroes chanted slogans such as ▲Stop first at the crosswalk, let the children go first ▲Adults drive safely, children walk safely, encouraging considerate driving from drivers at the crosswalk and urging students to cross safely.

Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon said, “I thank the Safety Guards, Sadong Elementary Safety Heroes, and faculty members who worked hard for today’s promotion activity. Starting from this opportunity, I hope the entire local community will create a safe commuting environment and that children will develop an interest in traffic safety.”

Meanwhile, Dongducheon City stated that Safety Guards and Safety Heroes will continue to conduct various safety culture promotion activities together in the future.
