Pukyong National University Hosts 'PKNU Career and Employment-Startup Fair'
Over 1,400 Current Students, Alumni, and Local Youth Participate, Marking Great Success
Pukyong National University (President Jang Youngsoo) held the '2024 PKNU Career and Employment & Startup Fair' at the Pukyong Convention Hall on the afternoon of October 11.
This fair was organized to provide employment and startup-related information to current students, graduates, and local youth during the peak fall recruitment season, as well as to offer opportunities to meet HR and recruitment managers from companies in person.
The event featured over 50 booths, including company and professional mentor booths with participation from 40 companies and organizations, as well as promotional and event booths. More than 1,400 people attended, making the event a great success.
At the company booths, HR managers provided interview opportunities, recruitment information, and details about the qualities they seek in candidates. In the professional mentor booths, the PKNU Career Mentor Group, consisting of 20 alumni currently working at major corporations and other organizations, offered individual counseling, consulting, and shared their job-seeking know-how with their juniors.
In the promotional booths, organizations and programs related to employment and startups?including the University Job Plus Center, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Korea Foundation for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology, Startup U-Package, and the Intelligent Robot Innovation Convergence University Project Group?introduced their policies and initiatives.
Additionally, event booths offered image consulting, career and employment tarot card readings, and instant photo booth experiences for fair participants.
Pukyong National University, centered around the Student Competency Development Division and the University Job Plus Center, holds employment and startup fairs annually to support the employment and entrepreneurship of university students and local youth.
