Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will operate various programs for mental health promotion until the 10th.
On October 10th, ‘Mental Health Day,’ the district announced that it has prepared online and offline participation programs to provide residents with accurate information about mental health, thereby raising social interest and improving awareness.
As an online program, for 200 children and adolescents, the ‘Guess the Character Name!’ event is being held until the 10th, where participants subscribe to the Guro-gu Mental Health Welfare Center YouTube channel and guess the name of the center’s character. Additionally, for 100 pregnant women and mothers within one year postpartum, the ‘Mom Todak Todak’ prenatal and postpartum depression screening event is also ongoing until the 10th.
Pregnant women classified as high-risk based on the prenatal and postpartum depression screening results will be contacted by the Mental Health Welfare Center for counseling.
Also, on the 10th, at the Guro-gu Residents’ Hall auditorium, psychiatrist and author Yoon Hong-gyun, who wrote ‘Self-Esteem Class,’ will give a lecture titled ‘What It Means to Love Yourself’ to 300 local residents, emphasizing the importance of mental health management and ways to protect mental health.
These programs can be accessed through the QR code on the promotional poster, and mobile coupons and other prizes will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
