Fire in Library of Elementary School in Haman... 7 Staff and Students Evacuated
Fire authorities are extinguishing a fire in the second-floor library of an elementary school in Chilwon-eup, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam.

At around 9:40 a.m. on the 4th, a fire broke out in the library of an elementary school in Chilwon-eup, Haman-gun, South Gyeongsang Province.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department, part of the second floor of the building where the library was located was burned in the fire.
At the time of the fire, there were five students in the after-school care class, one teacher, and one administrative staff member in the school, but all evacuated safely and no casualties occurred.
It was reported that the school was on a discretionary holiday that day, so only the after-school care students were present and no other students attended.
The fire authorities who responded to the scene brought the main fire under control at 10:21 a.m. and completed extinguishing it at 10:34 a.m.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
