A man in his 20s carrying a weapon was caught by the police while wandering in a residential area in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced on the 2nd that they arrested a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of obstructing official duties.
Mr. A is accused of carrying a weapon and a flashlight and shining it on parked cars while wandering in a residential area in Umyeon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, around 11:50 p.m. on the 1st, and threatening police officers who responded to the report.
The police investigated Mr. A after his arrest, but it was confirmed that he did not properly explain the reason for his actions.

A police official stated, "It is difficult to confirm whether Mr. A has any mental illness," adding, "Although no damage occurred due to Mr. A's actions, considering the risk of recurrence, he was admitted for emergency hospitalization and isolated."
