LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam Shares Warm Moments with Local Seniors on Senior Citizens Day
Korea Racing Authority Let's Run Park Busan Gyeongnam (Director Um Youngseok) has donated 8 million KRW to support a Hangung tournament in Noksan-dong, Busan, to help elderly residents from vulnerable groups ahead of Senior Citizens' Day.
This support is part of Let's Run Park Busan Gyeongnam's social contribution initiatives aimed at coexisting with the local community and was planned to assist residents in need near the racecourse through the Nakdong General Social Welfare Center.
The project, with a total donation of 34 million KRW, has provided various forms of support to local residents, including delivering food supplies such as rice and meat and energy-saving fans to vulnerable households, with four rounds of aid since the beginning of the year.
The 4th Noksan-dong Community Social Security Council Chairman’s Cup Hangung Tournament was held on the 27th at the Noksan-dong Administrative Welfare Center, organized by the Nakdong General Social Welfare Center.
The event was attended by Kim Hwanuk, Head of Busan Customer Support at Korea Racing Authority, Jung Dooyoung, Head of Busan Operations Support, officials from the Nakdong General Social Welfare Center, and around 200 senior citizens from local senior centers in Noksan-dong.
Kim Hwanuk, Head of Busan Customer Support at Korea Racing Authority, said, "I hope this tournament will greatly help strengthen the sense of belonging and social bonds among the elderly," adding, "We will continue to provide various support for the healthy leisure culture and vibrant senior life of the elderly."
