Pusan National University Opens 'The Good School', a Regionally Customized Professional Education Program
Fintech Academy to Launch Next Month... MICE, Life Care, and Quantum Computing Programs to Follow
Pusan National University (President Choi Jaewon) has launched "The GOOD School," a regionally customized educational brand as part of its Glocal University Project, and held an opening ceremony at the Future Citizen Education Center on campus in the afternoon of the 30th to announce its official start.
The event was attended by President Choi Jaewon of Pusan National University, key university executives, and numerous prominent figures from Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, the political sector, and industry, all of whom emphasized the importance of nurturing talent through strengthened collaboration between the local community and the university.
"The GOOD School" will be operated as a specialized educational program linking Pusan National University's areas of expertise with Busan's strategic industries.
Starting with the "2024 Fintech Academy," which begins on July 12, the school plans to sequentially develop and offer new educational content each year, such as programs for the MICE industry (2025), life care (2026), and quantum computing (2027).

Lee Kiyoung (Professor, Department of Social Welfare), Director of the Future Citizen Education Center at Pusan National University and head of "The GOOD School," stated, "This is a new educational model in which the university proactively evolves and closely collaborates with the local community in line with leading and strategic industries in the region," and emphasized, "Through this, we aim to provide practical education that not only contributes to the development of local industries but also helps local talent design a future rooted in Busan."
