Gyeonggi-do Launches 'Childcare Center Child Abuse Prevention Campaign' for October
Gyeonggi Province conducted the "2024 Second Half Gyeonggi Province Childcare Center Child Abuse and Supervision Officer Capacity Building Training" on the 30th of last month.

Earlier, on the 30th of last month, Gyeonggi Province held a capacity-building training session for officials responsible for child abuse prevention and supervision at city and county daycare centers at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Auditorium in Gwanggyo, Suwon.
This training was conducted by inviting experts to enhance the professionalism of public officials in charge of child abuse prevention and supervision at daycare centers, focusing on practical supervision work, laws, and case studies.
To promote the healthy growth and development of children in daycare centers and create a safe childcare environment, Gyeonggi Province plans to produce and distribute educational videos on child abuse prevention for daycare centers, which will be used by cities, counties, and daycare centers as part of the "Gyeonggi Province Daycare Center Child Abuse Prevention Education."
Additionally, posters such as "Safe Daycare Centers! Made by Gyeonggi Province" and "Daycare Center Child Abuse No, Child Respect YES" will be distributed to encourage daycare centers to utilize them in the "Daycare Center Child Abuse Prevention Campaign."

Kim Jin-hyo, Director of the Childcare Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "To establish a transparent and safe childcare environment that parents can trust, public officials will do their best to communicate with daycare centers based on their capabilities and sense of responsibility, striving for the prevention, eradication, and prompt response to child abuse."
