Gyeonggi-do to Recruit 10,000 Youth Welfare Point Participants in 3rd Round... Annual Payment of 1.2 Million KRW
Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 10,000 participants for the third round of the ‘Youth Welfare Points’ support program, aimed at improving the welfare of young workers and resolving job mismatches, from October 1 to 11.
Youth Welfare Points are provided annually, worth 1.2 million KRW, to young residents (aged 19 to 39) in the province who work at least 36 hours per week at small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, or non-profit organizations within the province, with a monthly salary of 3.34 million KRW or less. Those fulfilling military service obligations have their application age extended by the length of their service (up to 3 years).
Gyeonggi Province selected 20,026 youths through the first and second recruitments in June and August and has been providing welfare points of 300,000 KRW quarterly. This year, the program targets a total of 36,000 participants, and the remaining 10,000 will be selected through this third recruitment. Welfare points can be used to purchase various products in fields such as cultural activities, self-development, and health management at the dedicated online shopping mall ‘Gyeonggi Youth Mall’.
However, selected participants must verify their eligibility every three months, including residence, business size, and working hours.
Documents required for submission, such as resident registration abstracts, four major social insurance subscription records, and health insurance payment certificates, will be automatically submitted if the applicant consents, following the implementation of the public MyData service.
